Headstone. Circa 1845 commemorating members of the Iley family died 1845 -
1855. Tall sandstone slab with shaped top and finely-cut inscription:

The sprightly Youth ah (sic) mournfull tale to tell/Crush'd by a ponderous load
which on him fell/Awhile he liv'd oppressed with pain and grief/Till heaven the
patient sufferer sent relief/Death's icy hand the well blown flower crops/And
blasts the aged parents future hopes/ IN MEMORY OF MARGARET/WIFE OF JAMES ILEY/
POSTMASTER OF STANHOPE/WHO DIED MARCH 18TH 1845/AGED 66 YEARS/ALSO GEORGE ILEY
THEIR SON, WHO/DIED JUNE 12TH 1848 AGED 27 (?) YEARS/ALSO OF THE ABOVE JAMES
ILEY/POST MASTER WHO DIED JANUARY 21ST 1855/AGED 77 YEARS.
