Headstone. Commemorates Ann and Michael Walton, died 1763 and 1770, aged 87
and 80. Moulded, square-topped sandstone slab, about 1½ metres high, with
inscription: 'He that like us/hath numbered fourscore years/must need be weary
of this vale of tears/desire to be translated/to the place where we/shall ever
see our saviour face/cease from sorrows here/yea cease from sin/and a Blest
eternity begin/below our cares are done/all our accounts are even/and now we
are gone/(obscured by earth) heaven.
