SX 29 NW POUNDSTOCK NEWMILL

House, formerly farmhouse. Late C17 core, early C19 addition at right end, late
C20 addition at left end. C17 and C19 builds rendered whitewashed cob with slate
roof with gabled ends. Stone stack on ridge with brick shaft was formerly left
gable end stack. Right gable end chimney brick. Single depth plan. Asymmetrical 1
+ 4 window range, 1 window in C20 addition. C20 central gabled porch, further
entrance on front at right end. Windows C20 casements with glazing bars. Pigeon
holes on front. Ground floor room right has large fireplace with fireplace beam
and cloam oven. Ground floor room heated by ridge stack has large fireplace with
ogee stops on timber lintel. Pegged collar rafter roof formerly hipped between C19
and earlier build, timbers of smaller scantling over right end.
