Inn. C18, with additions. Coursed sandstone rubble with chamfered plinth and
ashlar dressings; rebated quoins suggest render removed; incised stucco left
return. Left wing has left end bay of limestone. Painted rendered additions
of porch and left extension to main building. Stone-flagged roof with stone
ridges, and some chimneys rendered. 2-storey, 3-bay main building, with one-
storey, one-bay left addition; left wing, set back, 2 storeys, 6 bays in 2
builds. Main building has renewed door and overlight in projecting centre part
of central porch, with cavetto-moulded drip string and cornice. Flanking 32-
pane horizontal fixed lights; Venetian window above flanked by 12-pane sashes;
all with renewed glazing and in raised stone surrounds, keyed over Venetian
window. Blocked opening to right of porch has flat stone lintel. Left
extension in same style as porch has 4-light round window in raised surround,
and flat coping. Hipped roof has cyma-moulded kneelers and end-ridge chimneys.
Left wing: first build, adjoining house, 3 bays. Boarded door in second bay,
and 3 windows; second higher build has elliptical carriage arch on large block
jambs, and boarded door in plain stone surround between 2 right bays. All
ground floor windows plain sashes; 12-pane sashes above. 2 small square ridge
chimneys. Doors inserted in recessed addition under carriage arch. Wing has
3 rear side stone stairs to first-floor entrances.
