Headstone. Circa 1803. Commemorates Robert Somerville, Presbyterian minister
of Ireshopeburn, and Margaret his wife. Signed Jes. Teasdale Sculpt. Slaggyford.
Tall fine-grained red sandstone slab, with raised moulded edge; semi-circular
top flanked by pyramid finials. Finely-cut letters of varied styles arranged
in lines and ovals, straight and curved lines. Top panel has draped urn with
sloping cross at left and anchor and rope at right in low-relief.
