Gazebo/dovecote. Mid C18. Incised stucco with ashlar quoins and dressings;
thinly-coursed rubble revealed at rear; stone-flagged roof with stone ridges.
3 storeys, one bay. Ground floor has round arch with voussoirs on impost blocks
and stone jambs; C20 glazed doors inserted, with side and overlights. Renewed
12-pane sash in first floor, and trompe l'oeil window in second, in raised stone
surrounds. Pyramidal roof has ridge stone coping resting on moulded kneelers;
stone obelisk finial with chevron band. Rear banded chimney. Left return has
L-plan flight of stone steps to first-floor 3-panel door under trompe l'oeil
window; right return has first-floor sash with original wide glazing bars.
Rear ground-floor arch similar to that on front. Interior: stop-chamfered
joists in ground floor room; first-floor room has panelled rear wall with
dentilled cornice; blocked corniced chimneypiece: panelling to left of fire
conceals ladder to dovecote above; cupboard to right of fire has shaped shelves.
Second-floor and attic dovecote with nesting boxes.
