Timber-framed house of late C16 origin but much altered in the C18 and later.
There is a cross wing at the south end and a small gable at the north end
of the east front. In the C18-C19 it was refaced in brick, now painted.
Two storeys. The main block is divided into 5 bays by pilasters. Six window
range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in shallow reveals. The south
cross wing has a 2 storeyed canted bay. The roof to the centre part on
the front is slate and on the wings and at the rear it is tiled. The rear
is timber-framed and plastered, with a weather-boarded gabled wing. (RCHM
