Pair of terrace houses on corner of Shepherd Street. LateCl8 or
possibly mid C18 build. Yellow brick with front of right hand
house refaced in red brick, slate roofs. 3 storeys and dormered
mansards. Each front 2 windows wide and with 4 windows wide returns.
Early to mid C19 shop fronts altered mid C20 across ground floors.
Upper floors have recessed sash windows, no glazing bars, under
flat gauged brick arches. Parapets with copings. Part of the
Shepherd Market development, laid our c. 1735 and built c. 1746,
the builder, designer and promoter being Edward Shepherd who built and
designed on the Grosvenor and Cavendish Estates.
