Pair of small houses with shops, rebuilt part of market block.
c. 1830-40. Stuccoed, slate roofs. 2 storeys and dormered mansard.
One window wide. Pilastered shop fronts altered mid C20. Corniced
recessed sash windows, no glazing bars to 1st floor. Parapets with
copings. Shepherd Market was laid out c. 1735 and built c. 1746,
the designer, builder and promoter being Edward Shepherd who built
and designed on the Grosvenor and Cavendish Estates.
N.B. No 29 now forms part of No 14 Shepherd Street(See Nos 1 to
23 odd Shepherd Market q.v.)
