Commercial premises. c.1895. Red brick with terracotta dressings, slate
roof. Flemish Renaissance derived detailing. 4 storeys and attics. 3
windows wide to Long Acre with 4 window return to Langley Street. Ground
floor, with entrance to left having elaborate over door elliptical glazed
fanlight inscribed "Langley House", has order of polished granite pilasters
carrying entablature with dentil cornice. Upper floor fenestration grouped
as 2 window bays and 1 window bay. 2 light mullioned sash windows, those
on 1st floor with semi-elliptical arches, those on 3rd floor with broken
scrolled pediments. Enriched string courses and pinnacles to crowning
Dutch gable. Similar details to return where blind 2nd floor window has
date 1895 over swag.
