to east side of Great Barn at
Gawthorpe Hall

Coach house c.1870, altered, now gallery and shop. Large random rubble,
hipped slate roof with corbel table to gutter cornice. Rectangular 2-bay
block attached to east wall of Great Barn (q.v.). High single storey, the
front mostly pierced by 2 wagon entrances which have moulded depressed
2-centred heads; above and between these a small carved medallion in a moulded
diamond recess. Right front corner buttressed; cross window in return wall, 2
similar windows in rear. Interior altered.
