Gate piers and screen at main entrance to Old Warden Park. Circa 1874 by
Henry Clutton for Joseph Shuttleworth. Dressed limestone. 4 piers, with
chamfered angles, moulded tops , and ball finials with strapwork decoration.
2 main gate piers are larger, with more elaborate mouldings to top, including
foliate frieze, ball frieze and miniature embattled parapet. These 2 main
piers are topped by spherical wrought iron and glass lamps. Upper part of
screen has square-headed arcading and moulded coping. Gates are C20.
