Memorial and fountain with monumental sculpture. 1901-11 by Sir Aston Webb with
sculptor Sir Thomas Brock. Marble with bronze gilt and bronze allegorical
figures and bronze relief panels. Vast, Imperial sculptural programme, the
central pylon with giant seated figure of the Queen and surmounted by gilt
winged victory with 2 flanking figures, standing on circular platform; 6 bronze
groups and bas relief panels to retaining walls with fountain basins below.
