This beautiful Georgian building, was Wakefield’s first purpose-built bank,(along with 65, Westgate), designed for the banking firm of Ingram and Kennet, built in the 1790s. It was later taken over by the Wakefield and Barnsley Union Bank, (established in 1832). Soon to open as the Mumbai Indian restaurant.
