Ashlar house, with mullioned casements, of different periods. The original
portion dates from 1773. Anthony Saloin made additions in 1844. Much of these
additions has been demolished, but the Gothic towers and the terraces adjoining
survive. In the C20 furthev additions were made by Roger Cunliffe for Lord
Hardinge of Penshurst.
