C16 cottage with lean-to rear outshot of C17, raised to 2-storey height in modern
times. Formerly 2 dwellings. 2 storeys and attic, 2 windows. High pitched
tiled roof with end chimneys, one of old brick with overlapping shafts. One
flat dormer. Tile hung 1st floor. Galleted coursed rubble ground-floor with
red brick dressings and plinth coping. Modern 3-light leaded casements. Old
plank door in stout frame under hipped pent tiled modern hood. Small modern
extension.
Inside much exposed timber, re-used and possibly, by shape and moulding, from
a ship. 2 small inglenooks, old plank floors, swell head posts.
