House with adjoining railing, shop, cottage and stable. c.1785
and early and mid C19. Brick with gabled and lean-to pantile
roofs, some glazed. Dentillated eaves. 3 gable stacks, one of
them external. 2 storeys, 3 bays wide by 5 bays deep. L-plan.
Windows are mainly Yorkshire sashes. Front ground floor openings
have segmental heads. Street front has central panelled door
with overlight, flanked by single sashes. Above, 3 sashes, the
central one smallest. Notts and Derby Insurance plaque outside.
Adjoining hairpin railing and gate. To right, lower 2 storey
lean-to shop with door and shuttered canted bay window. North
west side has a glazing bar casement and in return angle, a door.
Adjoining cottage, to right, has small casement and 2 plank
doors. Above, 2 small leaded Yorkshire sashes. Stable, to
right, has 2 stable doors flanked by single slatted casements,
all with segmental heads. Above, to left, plank door. To right,
2 Yorkshire sashes.
