639-1/11/557 (East side)
12/07/72 Nos.19 AND 20

House, now divided into 2. Later C17, with earlier fragments
and an early C19 front. Timber-framed, brick fronted, C20
concrete tiled roof. An internal chimney-stack with a square
brick shaft. 2 storeys. 2 window range: 16-pane to the ground
storey with segmental-arched heads, 12-pane to the 1st storey.
2 C20 doors.
INTERIOR: no cellar. No.19 has only one main beam exposed on
the ground storey and a corner stair. The front wall has been
pushed forward and the original rear wall removed. At the
north end a truss with tie-beam and long arched braces,
without studding, suggests that the building may have extended
