House. Vestigial C17 core; C18 front; much modernised and
extended in 1960s. Timber-framed and plastered; jettied; C20
plaintiled roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and cellar. 2 window range: 12-paned
sashes in flush cased frames to the upper storey and with a
single vertical glazing-bar to the ground storey. The wide
jetty is supported by shaped brackets, one at each end of the
front and 2 by the porch, which projects below the jetty and
has boarded reveals, a rectangular fanlight and a flat cornice
hood supported by console brackets. An Edwardian 4-panel door
has the top 2 panels glazed. A row of low railings with spear
heads extends from each side of the porch across the frontage.
INTERIOR: little of the original building has survived
modernising: rear wall removed, no exposed timbers. Included
for group value as part of the street scene.
