Shop with residential accommodation above. Early C19. Red
brick under a slate roof. 4 storeys; 2-window range. No.8 has
an early C20 plate-glass shop front and No.7 has a transomed
window associated with the Two Necked Swan Public House
adjacent (qv). First floor originally lit through 2 canted bay
windows, of which the left-hand one remains: 8/8 unhorned sash
with margin glazing. The right-hand bay replaced with a C20
tripartite sash. The 2 upper floors each have 2 tripartite
sashes, those to No.8 being 8/8 unhorned early C19 sashes,
those to No.7 being late C20 replacements. Segmental heads.
Hipped roof with a central transverse stack. The south return
has a 2-light early C20 display window with arched glazing
bars.
INTERIOR: ground floor and cellar of C20 character. The
first-floor east room has an early C19 interlace plaster
cornice and a palmette frieze.
