House. Mid C17 with an early C18 facade. Altered and repaired
1984. Red brick laid in Flemish bond with burnt headers and
some flint to rear. Pantile roofs. 2-storey facade; 3-window
range. Panelled door set to left of centre under a hood on
consoles. 2 sashes right and one left, all of 1984 and all
with 9/9 glazing bars. C18 flush frames with exposed boxes.
Moulded platband at first floor rebuilt 1984. Three 9/9 sashes
to first floor, of 1984 but within C18 boxes. Bell-based
gabled roof. Internal gable-end stack to south. The south
gable has 3 blocked windows, the upper 2 under segmental
heads. Parallel block to rear much altered, fitted with C20
casements and with a dormer removed.
INTERIOR not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: the house belonged to the Regicide Miles
Corbet, d.1662.
