3 houses with weavers' workshops above, now shops and flats.
Late C17 and late C18, with C19 and C20 alterations. Red
brick, with partly renewed plain tile roof and off-centre
brick ridge stack. No.30, to left, has a rebuilt left gable
and painted front.
3 storeys plus attics; 6 window range. On the first floor, 3
pairs of 12-pane sashes. Above, in the centre, 2 weavers'
windows, 7 and 5 lights. To right, 2 similar windows, 4
lights, in altered openings. To left, 2 slightly larger
windows, early C19, 3 lights. Attics have, to right, 2 gabled
dormers with renewed casements. Ground floor has in the centre
an early C19 wooden shopfront with single window and
half-glazed door, flanked to right by a boarded window and to
left by a segment-arched entry. To right, an altered late C19
wooden shopfront with a boarded window and recessed door,
flanked to right by a 4-panel door and overlight. To left, a
late C18 round-headed doorcase, wood and stucco, with renewed
door and fanlight. To its right, a shop window, and to left, a
single shop window and door.
INTERIORS: No.26 has a largely late C18 interior with
fireplace, cupboard and doors, and exposed C17 chamfered beams
in the weavers' loft. No.30 has a similar beam on the ground
floor.
