Pair of estate cottages. Dated 1879. By Robert Griffiths for Thomas Fletcher Twemlow. Red brick, with blue brick and ashlar dressings, and steep pitched gabled and hipped plain tile roofs. Prominent side wall and ridge stacks with coped square flues set diagonally. Plinth, flush brick quoins, first floor band, dentillated eaves. Windows are mainly original wooden casements and sashes.

Frontage has a central three-light cross casement, and above it, a gabled through-eaves dormer with a two-light casement. To left, a hipped bay, two storeys, with a door flanked by cross casements. Above, three two-light casements. To right, a slightly projecting gabled bay with a three-light cross casement, and above, a two-light casement. In the gable, a datestone inscribed "TFT 1879". Setback bay to right has recessed doorway. Left return has hooded porch with half-glazed door, flanked by buttress and side wall stack. Two-light casement above. Right return has single sash to ground floor, and two sashes above.

Rear has projecting gabled bay to right. In the centre, a three-light cross casement, flanked on each side by a door and a cross casement. These are covered by late C20 conservatories. Above, to left, a large gabled through-eaves dormer with four lights divided by brick mullions. To right, a two-light casement.

INTERIORS: Abrahams' House has cornices to principal rooms, and original four-panel doors. Original stone fireplace with mantel shelf on brackets and register grate. Adam-style fireplace probably inserted. Straight stair and landing with stick balusters. Rose View has cornices to principal rooms and some original four-panel doors. Corner fireplace to ground floor, and original grate in similar fireplace to first floor. Winder stair with stick balusters. Both houses retain their original plan.
