Haydn Road Primary School Annexe

Board school, now primary school annexe. Dated 1877, restored
late C20. Rockfaced Bulwell stone with ashlar dressings and
slate roofs with tile crests and various shouldered stacks.
Gothic Revival style.
Plinth and coped gables. Windows are mainly reglazed, with
stone mullions and transoms. Pointed arched windows have hood
moulds. Single storey; 3 x 3 bays. Entrance front has a
central through eaves gabled window with 2 cross mullioned
lancets, and a triple slit ventilator above. To right, a
projecting square tower porch, 3 stages, with double chamfered
pointed arched doorway and above it, a shaped datestone. Above
again, a pair of lancets, with a single lancet on each side.
Blank panelled upper stage. To right again, a single light
window, and to left a 2-light mullioned window, both
flat-headed.
Right return has 3 gables, the smaller left gable with a
pointed arched window, the others cross mullioned. Beyond, to
right, a set back rear range, with a graduated triple lancet
window.
Left return has a gabled wing at each end, with a graduated
cross mullioned triple lancet window with triple slit
ventilator. In the centre, a gabled through-eaves window with
2 lancets. To its right, a 2-light mullioned window.
