Entrance gateway to Norfolk Park
(with flanking screen walls))

Gateway and screen walls. c1876. Dressed squared stone with
ashlar dressings and wrought-iron gates. Chamfered plinth.
Central gateway has octagonal piers with ogee domed caps and
simple wrought-iron gates. Flanking screen walls have
lozenge-pierced balustrades. To left, a side gate with
shouldered square gable with coat of arms, and round-headed
opening with wrought-iron gate and label mould. To left again
a short length of screen wall and an octagonal pier with ogee
domed cap. To right, a single cell building with stepped
coping and a small window. In the left return, an elliptical
arched door.
