GV II

Entrance lodge, now house. c1841. Squared dressed stone with
ashlar dressings and fish scale slate roof, with double
central ridge stack, reduced in height. Tudor Revival style.
Chamfered plinth, quoins, Gothic traceried bargeboards, gable
finials. 2 storeys; 2 window range. Front has a slightly
projecting bay to left with a gabled through-eaves dormer with
2-light mullioned casement. Below it, a canted bay window with
hipped roof and a similar casement. To right, a coat of arms
in a panel and below, a Tudor arched doorway with flat-headed
surround, flanked to right by a 2-light mullioned casement.
Right return has a 3-light mullioned window and below, a
square bay window with a 4-light mullioned window. Left return
has a 2-light mullioned window on each floor.
