Shops and flats. Dated 1911, with late C20 alterations. Brick
with faience dressings and gabled and hipped slate roof with
single gable and 2 ridge stacks. Renaissance Revival style.
String courses, panelled pilasters with ball finials, coped
gables. 2 storeys plus attics; 11 window range of 12-pane
sashes. Symmetrical front on corner site. Triple bay rounded
corner has flanking pilasters and dentilled cornice topped
with a pierced balustrade. 3 sashes with keyblocks and
cornices, and above the central window, a dated cartouche with
sprays. Attic has 2 hipped dormers with 2-light casements.
Reglazed double shopfront with splayed recess to central
doorway. Beyond, on either side, 2 gables, their upper floors
divided by pilasters. Each gable has 2 sashes with keyblocks
and steep triangular pediments. Above, each gable has a sash
with keyblock and cornice and swagged apron. Below, each gable
has a single shopfront with side door and single window,
flanked by pilasters with reeded scroll brackets to fascia.
The shopfronts are mostly reglazed.
