6/106 Shedbush Farmhouse

G.V. II

Farmhouse with attached Cider House. C17 core with C18 facing. Rubble-stone
plinth. Red brick walls in English cross bond. Thatch roof, hipped at left
hand end and a half-hip at right hand end (East). Large rendered stack at
ridge, aligned with front door left of centre. Baffle-entry plan. 1 ½ storeys.
4 windows, wooden casements, with glazing bars. Wooden cills, concrete lintels.
Large brick buttress at right hand. Front door, plank and studded, C20. Brick
porch, C18, with hipped thatch roof. Cider House attached at left hand (West
end). Rubble built with a slate roof. Brick quoins and dressings. Segmental
door heads with a wide plank door. Cider press inside. "RCHM, Dorset I",
