The Observatory

A Grade II Listed Building in Falmouth, Cornwall

Falmouth Meteorological Observatory

Uploader's Comments

The observatory was opened in 1867 and was one of seven throughout the British Isles. It closed in 1884, as the position was considered too 'confined' and moved to new observatory to the west on Western Terrace. It has recently been renovated and is now a holiday let but they retained the veiwing floor at the top.
