DIDDLEBURY

1943-1/1/32 Hill House Farm

II

Farmhouse. Late C17 or early C18, with larger C19 wing to
north-west. Stone rubble; steeply-pitched plain tile roof;
pilastered brick external end stack with C19 top.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and cellar; single-window range: C20
2-light casement over larger C20 3-light casement under brick
segmental arch. Left returned side: 2 C19 lattice-glazed metal
casements under stone hoodmoulds; C19 external stack; C20
half-glazed door. Right returned side: C19 pentice porch, and
wing with brick end stack; bread oven. North-west front:
dressed stone rubble; 3 storeys and cellar; 3-window range of
C19 casements; central ashlar porch, containing C20
half-glazed door and overlight; stone modillion eaves-band.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
