A Grade II Listed Building in Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria

Merlewood history on tree-ring section

Uploader's Comments

The largest Blue Atlantic Cedar in northern England (planted when Merlewood was built)was felled in 1991 in Merlewood grounds.
A radial 50mm x 50mm x 700mm section of trunk was preserved and mounted so that the history was shown against the tree rings.
