Pair of houses, formerly village shop and butchers premises. Circa 1840, built by the Bedford Estate. Red brick with some grey headers. Tiled roof One group of 9 clustered brick stacks and one off. Two storeys; 3 windows. End projecting gables and recessed centre of one bay. Casment windows. The Old Village Shop has canted bay to front and gabled porch with semi-circular fanlight to side. Home Close has hipped brick porch with sidelights to side and 3 windows on this elevation. Gables have blank panels above first floor windows, kneelers and chamfered pilasters.
