Barn. Circa late C 17; extended in C 19. Timber-framed, partly clad in weatherboarding and extended in brick. Clay plain tile roof with half-hipped ends and hipped midstreys; slate lean-to roofs to outshuts. PLAN: 5-bay barn with threshing floor with midstreys to central bay and aisle on south west side. In the C19 brick outshuts were built on the north east side and brick extensions were added at either end. EXTERIOR: South west side has hipped midstrey at centre and main roof carried down to low eaves over weatherboarded walls with brick extensions at either end. The north east side has central hipped midstrey flanked by brick outshuts with slate lean-to roofs; outshut on left projects. INTERIOR: Slightly jowled wall and arcade posts; curved braces to arcade-plate and tie-beams; high collars with clasped purlins, the lower purlins with wind-braces; principal-rafters with yokes at apex, supporting diagonally-set ridgepiece; common-rafters intact. Wall-framing between posts replaced by brick on north east side.
