Boundary Wall and Gate Piers to 113 Princess Road East

Boundary wall and gate piers extending for c.20 metres in Regent Road, c.75 metres in University Road, c.35 metres in Princess Road East. Probably 1872. By Goddard & Son. Red brick laid in English bond with dressings of blue brick and stone; two pairs of gate piers in Princess Road East, one to the north of the main house and one to the entrance, square in plan with chamfered corners and stone detailing, one ball finial to the entrance piers surviving; the wall consists of a base of red brick with an office of blue brick, Coping of blue brick and stone, and square, stone-coped piers at intervals of c.5 metres; metal railings surmounting the wall now missing, but there are two wrought-iron gates, one in University Road and one in Princess Road East. Forms a significant group with Lansdowne House.
