1913. Architects. Stockdale Harrison and Sons. Large but low classical
stuccoed building with wide pedimented end facing Victoria Park, rusticated
angle pilasters and continuous wide panel below pediment. Ground floor
Tuscan colonnade, with continuous entablature, with projecting porch at
centre of four columns and large panelled piers at angles, large round-arch
entrance inside porch. Slate roof with wide overhanging eaves. Plain
auditorium with segmental vaulted ceiling supported on large brackets,
plain balcony on three sides, organ over stage.
