House. Early/mid C19. Limestone ashlar, rubblestone returns,
slate gambrel roof, ashlar stacks with brick tops to gable
ends. Double-depth plan with C20 2-storey lean-to to the
right.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic; symmetrical 3-window range.
Eaves band, 1st-floor band and plinth. A flat hood on
over-sized brackets and chamfered to a 6-panel door with
C17-type semicircular arches carved into the upper panels are
flanked by 8/8-pane sash windows; that above the door is
semicircular-arched. At the centre of the eaves is a panelled
parapet approx 2m long, fronting a raking dormer with a
2-light casement window.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached to both front corners are ashlar
walls approx 2m high which sweep down to approx 1m high to
meet pyramidal-capped piers on the street. To the right the
wall sweeps up again and extends for approx 20m.
