Detached House. Probably early C19. Local lias stone coursed rubble, brick dressings to windows, probably rendered
formerly; hipped Welsh slate roof; brick chimney stack. Two storeys, five bays. Sash windows in segmental-arched openings;
12 panes above and 15 panes below; to lower bay three a wide 6-panel door with glazed toplights, set in bolection-mould
timber architrave and an open stone porch having Tuscan columns and pilasters, entablature and pediment; extension to
north-east of two bays, with flat roof and stone eaves course; bay one has matching sash window above and 3-centre-arched
through carriageway below: bay two modified to form mid C20 shop and not of special interest. To rear, an extension in
colourwashed brick with plain clay tiled roof, possibly older than house; boarded garage doors and two 2-light stone
mullioned windows with beaded surrounds; loft door and set of pigeon holes above. Interior not seen. About 2 metres
east of house, with returns at each end, a low wrought-iron railing with spear-point tops and cast urn finials to
standards, and pair matching gates opposite door, all adding to the setting of the house and to the streetscene.
