Steanbridge

Stable block, now house. Early C19. Squared and coursed limestone, Welsh slate
roof; two C20 brick ridge stacks. A simple two storey 7 bay structure with
arched openings, large ashlar block parapet without coping, and central bay in
3:1:3 fenestration brought forward with simple pediment over recessed arch
containing glazed wide door under radial fanlight. To each side is window,
door, window with C20 twenty pane sashes and multi-pane doors, all to radial
fanlights. At first floor a series of long horizontal sashes. Continuous plain
swing run through at arch springing. Returns are plain; late C20 dormer windows
to back. Included for group value.
