II
Lodge at west entrance of Harewood House. Early C19. Hammer-dressed stone,
stone slate roof. Single storey, 5 bays with rear outshut. Symmetrical facade.
Plinth. Central 3 bays have simple Tuscan porch, the outer bays flush with
porch. Set within the re-entrant angles a doorway to each side has monolithic
jambs and chamfered surround. All bays have segmental-arched windows with
voussoirs and projecting sills with segmental-arched small-pane Yorkshire sashes.
Bracketed cornice. Hipped roof with 2 ashlar ridge stacks. Rear: outshut has
2 doorways and 3 small windows set between. Lean-to roof. Plain cyma-moulded
eaves cornice to main roof. Left and right returns have segmental-arched window
as front.
