Public house. Mid C18 and C19, with datestone 1839. Squared coursed limestone
and brick with stucco facade; and slate roof. Originally probably 2-unit plan. 2
storeys with attic; 4-window range. Unhorned sash windows of differing sizes all
with glazing bars and under plain stucco heads. 6-panel double doors to far left
under flat wooden hood . C20 door to right hand corner has C19 moulded corner
detail above. Ashlar gable parapet and kneelers to right. flat-topped roof
dormers with casement windows. Lateral ashlar stack to centre and brick stack at
end. C19 brick extensions to rear and 2-storey stone extension to rear, formerly
part stables. Datestone 1839 is to centre of this range. 4-window range at first
floor of unhorned sash windows with glazing bars. Interior remodelled C20.
