Terrace house with shop front. Late C17, refronted mid C18 and with
late C18 shop front. Brown brick, tiled roof. 3 storeys and
dormered mansard. 2 windows wide. The ground floor has good late
C18 shop front and 2 entrances under entablature, reeded frame to
shop door and reeded lining to fascia; the shop windows flanking
the panelled and glazed door retain original thick glazing bars
and are slightly advanced with one pane deep returns. Upper floors
have flush framed sash windows with thick glazing bars and bowed
out linings under flat gauged arches. Wrought iron balcony to 1st
floor. Parapet with coping. Original shop interior with fittings
largely intact - the oldest hatters in London,supplying, amongst
others, Lord Nelson.
