Cottage. C16 or C17 with later additions and alterations. Roughcast
concealing timber frame on rendered plinth; corrugated iron roof with
deep boarded eaves replacing thatch. 2 storeys; apparently of 2 framed
bays. C19 casement directly below eaves to right with small larder
window below to far right; C20 fixed-light window to left. Roughly
central boarded door under C20 gabled wooden porch. Prominent integral
lateral red brick stack to rear on left. Projecting single-purlin
and wall-plate ends. Interior: inspection not possible at time of
resurvey (February 1986) but likely to be of interest. 2-storey early
C20 addition set back to right and C20 brick lean-tos to rear are not
of special architectural interest.
