Wealdmore Lodge farmhouse

Farmhouse. Dated 1803, with late C20 alterations. For George
de Ligne Gregory. Brick with ashlar dressings and hipped slate
roof. 4 brick ridge stacks. Ashlar plinth, deep wooden eaves
soffit. 2 storeys; 3 window range. Square plan. Openings have
slight segmental brick heads. Central 2 storey canted bay
window with hipped roof and a small 12-pane sash. Beyond, on
each side, a 16-pane sash. Central C19 half-glazed door and
overlight, flanked by 16-pane plastic framed windows in
original openings.
George de Ligne Gregory, Lord of the Manor of Harlaxton, built
many picturesque cottages and estate buildings c1790-1820. Few
of them were farmhouses, and this is the only example to
retain its farm buildings.
