A Cl6 timber-framed and plastered house with some brick, built on an L shaped
plan. Remodelled in the early C17. 2 storeys. The south front has 2 jettied
gables supported on brackets carved as grotesque figures. The east gable has
original bargeboards and pendant. Under each gable there is a 2 storey canted
bay window with double-hung sashes with glazing bars, Roof tiled, with 2 C17
chimney stacks, one at the west end with 6 grouped shafts diagonally set on a
moulded base and one at the east end with 3 diagonally set shafts. (RCHM9).
