A C18 timber-framed and plastered house. Renovated in the C20 with panel pargetting.
2 storeys. 4 window range, C19 double-hung sashes with vertical glazing bars.
No 44 has an early C20 double bow shop front. No 46 has a doorcase with a semi-circular
fanlight with fan glazing bars, narrow panelled pilasters and an open dentilled
pediment on brackets. (Similar to No 35). Roof tiled, mansard, double-pitched,
with 4 segmental headed dormers on the front and a wood modillion cornice to a
box guller. A small wing extents at the rear.
All the listed buildings around The Green form a group. (Nos 8, 10, 58, 52, and 25 are
buildings of local interest.)
