The Rectory
GV II
Rectory. Early C18 with early C19 alterations and additions. Red brick
rendered and painted. Pantile roof with brick coped gables and brick stacks.
2-storey. 4-bay south front, with slightly projecting 3-bay main house to left,
with central doorway in round headed surround with fluted pilasters, half-glazed
door and fanlight. To the left a tripartite glazing bar sash with the central
section converted to glazed double doors, to the right a tripartite sash, and
above 3 glazing bar sashes. To the right a set-back wing with a small
tripartite glazing bar sash on the ground floor and a glazing bar sash above
beyond again a small lean-to porch with a C20 glazed door. Interior, has curved
early C19 stick baluster staircase.
