Corner site with Monday Market Street. Early C19. 3 storeys rendered,
painted. lst floor sill course. Low pitch hipped slate roof. 1 window
to The Brittox, 1 to angled corner and 2 to Monday Market Street. 1 blind
window 2nd floor to the Brittox, 1 blind lst floor on corner and 1 blind
on 2nd floor to Monday Market Street. The other windows are recessed sashes,
glazing bars intact, block sills. Altered mid C19 shop window on ground
floor to Monday Market Street of 4 mullioned lights with moulded frame and
deep fascia and blind case. Similar window of 3 lights to the Brittox.
Entrance to passage leading to shop door, on angled corner with thin panelled
surround and roundel corner blocks. Side window to passage and double glazed
shop door at end. Adjoining to right and facing Monday Market Street C13
house part of same property. 3 storeys painted brick on stone plinth. 2nd
floor stone sill course. Low pitch gable end slate roof with wood eaves band.
3 windows to 2nd floor. Tripartite sashes flanking single sash window on
1st, all with keystones. Glazing bars intact. To ground: 1 C19 canted bay,
no glazing bars, on left hand, with small cornice. Central 5 panel door, top
panel glazed, in moulded stone surround under flat moulded wooden hood with
panelled soffit, on cut brackets. Tripartite sash window to right, glazing
bars intact.
