House and garden walls. Circa late C18 or early C19 extended in mid C19. Stone
rubble with granite quoins and dressings. Asbestos slate roof with hipped ends.
Rendered brick shafts to end and axial stacks.
Plan: Probably originally double depth plan with central entrance. Principal rooms
to front heated by end stacks and narrow service rooms across rear. In circa mid C19
the house was extended with a further 1-room plan addition to right, probably with
small room to rear. In circa late C19 an outshut was added on the right hand end.
Exterior: Two storeys. 3:1 window front. The main range on left is symmetrical
with a central C19 6-panel door with fanlight in open porch with two Tuscan columns
supporting a flat canopy with an entablature. Flanked by C19 window to left and C19
16-pane sash to right. The openings have granite lintels which are incised to appear
as granite voussoirs. The lintels are continued to form a continous granite string
band. Three C19 16-pane sashes on first floor with dressed stone arches. The
extension to right has a C20 window and horned 12-pane sash on ground floor, the
lintels above the openings continued to form a string band as in the main range.
Horned 12-pane sash on first floor.
Stone rubble garden wall to front with quartz coping. Square-on-plan ashlar stone
gate-piers with pyramid caps.
Interior: Not inspected.
