Road bridge over River Yeo. Early or mid C19. Snecked masonry of roughly squared
blocks of volcanic and mudstone; brick arches; granite string course and coping.
Double span bridge. Segmental brick arches on vertical abutments and central low
pointed cutwater. Plain projecting granite string course at road level and parapet
carries granite coping with rounded top. Terminal piers each end project slightly
externally and coping over is flat pyramids. Both embankments are revetted with
volcanic stone with granite or replacement concrete coping. The river forms the
parish boundary at this point. The eastern end of the bridge is in Morchard Bishop
parish, the western end is in Lapford parish.
