SP 26 NE BUDBROOKE GRAND UNION CANAL

10/10002 Lock House, Lock 34, at SP 252 664

Lock cottage on the Hatton Flight of Locks. c1800. Brick and plain
tile. Hipped roof, dentilled eaves cornice, single stack. 2 storeys,
2 bays. Ground storey has single 2-light glazing bar casement with
segmental arch and to right, a cambered arch doorway. Upper storey has
a similar, smaller casement with cambered arch. A rare surviving
example of a little altered Canal Company cottage.
